Meeting point in the city of Pereira-Risaralda
Departure from the city of Pereira in a 4x4 vehicle: Arrival at El Cedrál, start of the hike at 2130m altitude, along a muleteer's trail. 12pm: Arrival at the La Pastora refuge. Here we enjoy a delicious lunch in the middle of the tropical Andean forest. It is a unique place where you can appreciate different species of fauna and flora. (2500m) 1pm: Heading to the El Jordán farm, located at 3100m, at the beginning of the sub-páramo. Overnight stay.

7am: After breakfast, we'll depart, traversing the páramo ecosystem. Along the way, we'll be able to observe some mountains, such as...Paramillo del Quindío, Paramillo de Santa Rosa, Nevado Santa Isabel Paramillo del Quindío, Paramillo de Santa Rosa, Nevado Santa Isabel y, con mucha suerte, el glaciar del Tolima.
2pm: We'll reach a nice viewpoint at the top of the laguna del Otún where we will have our trail lunch, continuing on to our next shelter.

2:00 am Departure time. The vehicle will be waiting to take us another 10km along the road to reach 4100m, the starting point for the summit. We will return along the same route and go back to the mountain refuge for a comforting lunch before starting the descent to the cities.
